The spectacularly successful Late Model USA INVASION TOUR is continuing to grow.

This season fans will get the opportunity to see the USA stars at the Albany Speedway for the first time on 24 January 2015.

Michael Holmes has been at Eldora Speedway for the Late Model World 100 last weekend and has confirmed that a very strong field of drivers will be coming down under for the series.

Going on past performances this line up will send shivers down the spine of local competitors.

At the top of the list is super star Steve Francis. Steve is a four time National Dirt Late Model Touring Series Champion and has won about all there is to win in the USA including the Knoxville Nationals and the World 100 at Eldora. To top this off he has also got 2 Australian Late Model Titles to his name.  “Michael and his team provide me with a real nice race car so I’m really looking forward to jumping in the Ozmine Barry Wright Race Car again” Steve said.

Next is Jeep Van Wormer who stunned the locals with his pace and seemingly impossible outside passes when he raced here 4 years ago. Jeep is a fixture on the UMP Summer Nationals Tour with over 15 feature wins including the UMP Fall Nationals at Eldora “It’s great to be able to visit my Australian friends again – the Oldfield brothers have bought themselves a couple of real nice rockets – I’m looking forward to getting behind the wheel for them again”

Another former visitor coming to make his mark is Devin Moran. Devin is a relative youngster in late model racing and has shown blistering speed both in the East and West of Australia. In 2012 he won the NSW State championship and feels at home on Australian tracks which are similar in size to tracks like    Hillside Speedway in Ohio where he has is a regular winner. With 15 feature race wins this season he is definitely a young man in a hurry. Devin commented “I love Australia and I’m very excited to get to come back and race down under for the Moyle Engines team”

Last but certainly not least is George the” General “Lee. This will be his first adventure into the unknown on the other side of the world. George comes with a reputation as a hard charger with oodles of experience and a truck load of feature race wins under his belt. Fans can expect to see a “take no prisoners” approach when George rolls out onto the track. “I’ve met and dealt with quite a few Australians over the years so I was honoured when Lee Watt called and to finally have the opportunity to come down there to race” said George

The USA INVASION TOUR takes place at Collie Speedway 16 Jan, Bunbury Speedway 17 Jan, Albany Speedway 24 Jan and Manjimup Speedway 25 Jan.
