In a first for the Dirt Late Model division in WA, Quit Bunbury Speedway will be the first to provide a country track championship this coming racing season at the venue.
Adding to the action packed series is the backing of a massive corporate entity as well as local business. Corporate giant, Cleanaway, will host the series as naming rights sponsor for the first time and Dynamite Dans Cleaning Service will support the series.
Speedway general manager, Andrew Roberts, is excited about the formation of the series and says that it will only further the division in its own right.
” It’s taken a bit of negotiating, but, we’re there now and to have companies like Cleanaway involved is very exciting.” He claims the series will help with driver development and enhance the division on a national scale.
” Naturally, the exposure through media circles will be big and that is good for all involved. Local business is also important and Dynamite Dans Cleaning Service is very happy to play their part,” he said.
To be held over four rounds across the massive racing season at Bunbury, it will see a round of the prestigious USA Late Model Invasion Tour in the middle of the championship, further enhancing the series.
The initiative has been put in place by the promotions team at Bunbury to bolster the local events they run, which has made race fans excited by the news.
The dates for the Championship are set out as:
Round 1- November 8th, 2014
Round 2-December 27th, 2014
Round 3-January 17th, 2015 ( Also USA late Model Invasion Tour )
Final- March 21st, 2015
