After a season off, Willy Powell has returned to the thunder and lightning Late Models and is better prepared that he has ever been for the upcoming season.
The team has worked hard in the off season to develop their car, and after a solid run at the Ellenbrook opener, Powell is optimistic about his chances of success.
“We have the ex-Rocket chassis of Tony Stewart/Mark Webster in our race shop and it is the best race car I’ve ever driven,” says Willy. “After a positive run at Ellenbrook recently we plan to be running up front once we get back in the groove!”
Powell is aiming to compete in most rounds of the XLI Pro Dirt Series, with support coming from his family and also his sponsor Mint Removals and will be setting his aims high results wise.
“We are hoping for a top six finish this season” Willy states simply.
