Coming into the biggest weeks of the Late Model Racing Western Australia season, Maxima Racing Oils Pro Dirt Series Leader, Bunbury’s Brad Blake is set and ready to take on Americas Best in this season USA Invasion Tour, but doesn’t believe anyone can beat them.

“No one will beat the Americans, Steve (Francis) and Devin (Moran) will get a shock about how fast we have gotten since two years ago.” Blake commented. “But unless Jamie and Warren Oldfield or Craig Vosbergen brings their A – Game, no one will defeat them.”brad-blake-3

Late Models most decorated driver, with five Australian Championships and 13 State Championships in four states, Blake has had a new found attitude towards racing after hinting retirement only a few seasons ago.

“Defiantly an attitude and lifestyle change has helped me enjoying racing and my life more, I am starting to get on and I know the end is near, but with the card going good, I am turning well and my love for the sport is still strong I will keep going.”

Blake, who has lead the Maxima Racing Oils Point Series from the get go this season, was quickly to thank one person.

“I can’t thank my father (Alan Blake) enough for what he has done for me, and simply if it wasn’t for him I wouldn’t be still racing and I wouldn’t be in the situation where I am now.”

With this seasons rendition of the USA Invasion Tour Set to commence this weekend at the Perth Motorplex for the inaugural Perth Late Model Nationals, Blake suggests the young gun from Dresden, Ohio will be the one to keep your eyes on.

“Even though the Americans will be impressed with our new found pace, I still think the Americans are going to have the upper hand, especially Devin (Moran) as he will be the one to beat.”

Before finishing the interview, Blake was also quick in thanking his sponsors Bunbury Honda, Signarama, Heatleys and Moyle Engines and Race Parts in what has so far been a successful first half of the Maxima Racing Oils Pro Dirt Series.
