Chris Pavlovich last season planned a massive season and then succeeded in completing the challenge, racing all over the State and indeed the Nation.

“The Southern Haulage team had a big year competing in both Super Sedans and Late Models over three separate series with twenty three shows over eight months,” says Chris. “We committed last year to trying out setups and driving styles which had some highs and lows. The highlights for our season included the USA Invasion Tour rounds and the journey east to Adelaide, Murray Bridge and Warrnambool.”

The trial and error process saw the team learning a lot on their feet and this season they are ready to apply that knowledge and get some more runs on the board.

“Our calendar this year includes nine or ten Late Model shows locally and then we will head to Murray Bridge in February for the Australian Title” says Pavlovich.

Despite being a slightly smaller schedule this time around, Chris is still confident of good results and has set his aims at a level he feels is realistic.

“We are looking for consistency,” he says. “Being a late starter in Speedway we still have lots to learn, however we enjoy the sport and mixing with like-minded people!”

Chris would also like to say a big thankyou to his main sponsors in Caltex Australia, Southern Haulage and Plantagenet Concrete and appreciates their continued financial support. He also says Brent and Craig Vosbergen have been instrumental with technical assistance and compliments them on being a couple of great guys to have around on the team.

See Chris in action this weekend at the Perth Motorplex for Powerpalooza, doubling as round two of the XLI Pro Dirt Series!
