Warren and Jamie Oldfield have over the last few years been the ones to beat in the Late Model ranks.
Last season alone between them they claimed four feature wins, nine heat wins and a total of ten podium finishes.
This season though, things are going to be a little different.
“My schedule is looking a lot different this year” says Jamie, tongue in cheek. “I will be running a Sprintcar for the season… but you never know, if that budget doesn’t work out and I put it over the catch fence, I might just have to step back up to Late Models!”
Despite not running his own car, it won’t be completely lost to the division, with Jamie putting well known American visitor Devin Moran into his car for the four nights of the Di Candilo Steel City USA Invasion Tour.
Brother Warren however will be racing on a regular basis once again, competing in the full XLI Pro Dirt Series, but for him, it will be a change in motor that provides the next challenge.
“Warren will be running a ct525 crate engine in the car he ran last season,” says Jamie. “He will then fit his bigger engine into the car for the USA Invasion Tour and the National Title.”
