MOYLE ENGINES USA INVASION TOUR DOUBLE HEADER THIS WEEKEND

The opening two rounds of the Moyle Engines USA Late Model Invasion Tour will be held this Friday & Saturday Night in the South West of Western Australia.

The action gets underway at the Quit Collie Speedway on Friday night for round one followed by round two at the super fast Manjimup Speedway on Saturday Night.

The United States of America have sent three of their finest to take on the West Aussies in their own backyard with Steve Francis, Steve Casebolt and Jeremy Payne representing their homeland.

Francis is one of all time greats of American Late Model racing and absolutely dominated during his visit to Western Australia last summer. The “Kentucky Colonel” as he is affectingly known will once again drive for his good friend Michael Holmes during the Invasion Tour and will be tough to beat behind the wheel of the Barry Wright Race Cars USA16.

Steve Casebolt will make his first visit to Western Australia and is full of confidence after scoring a feature race win at Sydney Speedway on Saturday Night. Casebolt has the owner of Mastersbilt race cars Tader Masters turning the spanners on the Peter MacPherson owned USA33 during the three night Moyle Engines USA Invasion Tour.

Casebolt himself is a former winner of the Dirt Late Model Dream at Eldora Speedway a race that pays a $100,000 to the winner.

Jeremy Payne returns to Western Australia after two years ago winning the inaugural Invasion Tour. The twenty eight year old from Springfield Missouri will once again team up with his good friends at Halliday Racing to drive their USA186 Colonial Freightlines GRT Racecar.

The Western Australian drivers will hoping to make life as diffcult as possible for the Americans with Marc Giancola feeling full of confidence after winning the 2013/2014 Western Australia Late Model Championship at Quit Bunbury Speedway on the weekend. Giancola drove a faultless race to win his first Late Model State Title and showed why he is considered one of Australia’s finest sedan drivers.

Craig Vosbergen probably didn’t have the state title he was looking for but will be hoping to bounce back this weekend. Vosbergen currently leads the Hoosier Racing Tire Pro Dirt Series with the Invasion Tour apart of the season long Pro Dirt Series.

Jay Cardy and Brad Blake both finished on the podium in the State Title and have shown plenty of car speed throughout the season and will be contenders this weekend along with Matt Goodlad, Lee Watt, Brad Ludlow, Michael Holmes plus the Oldfield boys Warren and Jason Oldfield.

Make sure you get yourself to Collie and Manjimup this weekend to see the stars of American Late Model Racing taking on the West Aussies in what will be two explosive nights of sensational speedway action.
