Late Models return to Windy Hill!

The thunder and lightning brigade this weekend returns to Kellerberrin Speedway after a few weeks break and if the action from the last few shows is anything to go by, then we are in for a real lung buster.

Dean King claimed the feature at the last meeting held at Kellerberrin after a controversial call saw Ken MacPherson, who crossed the line first, relegated. Michael Holmes won the last round of the series at Pithara a few weeks ago, but has not nominated for this weekends show. Both King and MacPherson would love nothing more than to claim the win tomorrow and neither will stop at anything to ensure they get it.

Of course, there is a whole host of drivers who will be determined to ensure that doesn’t happen, including the two car team of the Nylanders, Allan and David. Allan, a wily veteran in the sedan ranks with much success across his career, occasionally steps into a Late Model for a squirt, while youngster David hasn’t spent as much time behind the wheel as he would like to lately and both are looking forward to strapping in and going racing.

Terry Haines showed some good form on his last visit to Kellerberrin, claiming no less than three heat wins, and he will be hoping to continue that good form, while Bryn Haythornthwaite also had a strong run at the last meeting and will want to repeat that.

Others to throw their hat into the ring include Clint Phillip, Lance Ferguson, Lionel Kirkby and Jeff Rogers. It should be a huge day of speedway action, so make sure you have someone to hang on to!
