Late Models Back In Bunbury
Round 5 of the 2012/2013 Hoosier Racing Tire Pro Dirt Late Model Series will be head this coming Saturday night (December 1st) at Quit Bunbury Speedway in the South West of Western Australia. A big field of over twenty drivers have entered for the event with many drivers making their first appearance for the season at Bunbury.
This weekends Pro Dirt Series round will be the only round to be held at Quit Bunbury Speedway prior to the running of the 2012/2013 Australian Late Model Championship to be held there on January 11th & 12th 2013.
Defending Pro Dirt Series champion Jamie Oldfield will be looking forward to hitting the clay this Saturday night at Bunbury and will be confident of good showing at the same venue where he won his first National Street Stock title back in 2005.
Current Western Australian Champion Warren Oldfield brings strong form into this weekend after winning the last round of the Pro Dirt Series at Kalgoorlie Speedway back on November 10th.
Former state champion Craig Vosbergen will debut a brand new Rocket Chassis at Bunbury with Craig’s Dad Bert Vosbergen rejoining the Late Model ranks in a Masterbilt chassis.
Multiple National Champion Brad Blake always looks forward to racing at his home track in front of his family & friends and has been the driver to beat whenever the Late Models have raced at Bunbury in the past.
Jay Cardy has had a consistent opening few rounds in his Draime powered Cardy Chassis and already has a round win under his belt this season.
The Ludlow racing team supported by Lucas Oil have endured a terrible start to the new season with a host of mechanical issues with all three cars out of their stable. Both Brad & Ben Ludlow are no strangers to Bunbury and will be hoping to show what they are capable of leading into the busy part of the season.
The AJN Transport team have been burning the midnight oil to get the David Nylander machine race ready again after a nasty spill at the Perth Motorplex a few weeks ago. Both David & Matt Nylander have shown alot of potential in the early rounds of the 2012/2013 Hoosier Racing Tire Pro Dirt Series.
Collie’s Paul Joss will make his long awaited debut in the Pro Dirt Series at Bunbury after having a great run during the Development Series held during the winter season. Joss has lots of experience racing at Quit Bunbury Speedway in Juniors & Production Sedans.
