Esperance is ready for the big show!

After three hugely successful rounds already in season 2023/24, the biggest field of the season will head down to the Tyres & More Esperance Speedway this weekend to contest the fourth round of the Pro Dirt Series, proudly presented by Ross’s Auctioneers & Valuers!

Doubling up on last years twenty-two cars for the Esperance event, we have the same nominated this time around for what will be the fifth time ever that Esperance Speedway has hosted a round of the Pro Dirt Series.

Brad Blake won the first two Pro Dirt shows at the venue before Jamie Oldfield (Oldfield Racing) claimed the third in 2012 and Joe Chalmers (Team BCM Motorsport:) winning the Esperance show this time last year.

Excitingly, all three of these drivers are in the field this weekend and keen to get back on top of the podium. Blake and Oldfield have both won a main event already this season, while Chalmers is the defending winner at the Esperance track and all three can be expected to be right at the pointy end of the field come feature time.

Others including Australian Champion Brent Vosbergen (Team Vosbergen Racing – TVR), last round winner Jason Oldfield (Oldfield Racing) and multi time Pro Dirt Series champion Warren Oldfield (Oldfield Racing) are also in the field and ready to fire against the best Esperance can offer.

Indeed, the local brigade from Esperance has certainly come out in force, with Ben Strautins (BAS Racing) (who claimed a feature win at the venue a fortnight ago) joined by names like Greg Horan (CPR – Chopper Pop Racing) (who missed this round last year so will be keen to put on a show at his home track), Esperance Club President Sean Barrett (Beaumont Motorsports) and rookies including Murray Parsons, Aaron Liddell (Triple 3 Racing ) and Jeff Dickerson who despite starting at the rear will be sure to relish the experience as they compete against the big guns.

Kalgoorlie is also well represented with David Boyes (Boyes Motorsport) heading down the road to join the festivities, joined by fellow Pro Dirt regular Damian Hudson (Hudson Racing Team) as well as Mat Robins (Robbins Motorsport ), all three of whom have shown plenty of speed and could well utilise their local experience to their advantage.

Of course, there is a whole host of other Pro Dirt regulars roaring into town, including Michael Holmes (Michael Holmes Racing), Daniel Ameduri (Ameduri Motorsports), Rod Musarra (@teamrocket) and current second place man in the point standings Ken Macpherson (KMM – Ken Macpherson Motorsport) all ready to get amongst it!

It is sure to be a huge show with hot laps and qualifying, followed by heat racing, dashes and the all-important thirty lap feature to round out what is sure to be an epic night of racing thanks to the team at Ross’s Auctioneers & Valuers!
