In racing, things quite simply don’t always go to plan. Crashes, mechanical dramas, engine blow ups: they all happen and create chaos for a racers budget and affect a seasons outcomes, sometimes even ending a season before it really begins.

This happened last season to Jayden Meckenstock, who despite putting in countless hours and effort, didn’t quite get the rewards that he and his team were after.

“Last season wasn’t the best start with engine problems early in the season,” said Jayden. “Also, with other upgrades in the process, funding was the big issue.”

To try and combat this, Jayden and his team spent some time in the off season competing in the Development Series where they were able to test some different setups ready for another crack at the XLI Pro Dirt Series.

“This season we have a new shock package and with a fresh engine we are hoping to put in some more consistent performances while still developing and understanding the car,” says Meckenstock. “This development means I have been able to reset my aims this season and now I want to try to do all the rounds and finish them all, as well as hoping to finish the season in the top ten overall.”

Jayden has a good list of strong supporters who will be working with the team to help them achieve their aims. He would like to thank his sponsors Hydraulic Technical Solutions, Future Engineering and Communications, Lubrimax and G & J Fabrication.
