Ameduri’s New Challenge

Daniel Ameduri has been around Speedway for a long time now. Starting his racing way back in Junior Sedans, the man they call ‘Nudge’ has raced a number of other divisions with plenty of success, particularly in Production Sedans and more recently in Street Stocks where he has won two Brian Rose Memorials amongst other big victories.

Now, this season, a longtime dream has come true with Ameduri stepping into the Late Model division, all thanks to his wife Fionna.

Seeing a Late Model advertised online, Fionna and fellow Late Model competitor Jamie Oldfield made some enquiries and before they knew it, Nudge was flying over east to pick up a truck and bring ‘Lola’ the Late Model home.

After spending some time going over the car, Nudge was them able to compete in a number of Development Series rounds in the off season, managing to get enough laps and confidence under his belt to jump into the deep end, competing in the XLI Pro Dirt Series.

“At this stage we will be competing in all of the XLI Pro Dirt Series rounds,” says Nudge. “I am aiming for a top ten in the overall season points and am also hopeful of grabbing a podium finish at some stage throughout the season.”

Although the team has some good support from sponsors in Torquewear Australia, DVF Plumbing, Stick it Suspension, Totally Work Wear Malaga, Northside Spanner Worx, Carbusters, Quick Fit Tyres, Cartaway Bin Hire and Ultratune Morley/Malaga, they are still looking for a major sponsor to help get them through the season.

Ameduri is sure to be just one of the drivers competing hard for the coveted rookie of the year award, and every event will count, so keep you eyes on the red and blue #83 machine as he begins his Late Model journey!
