Albany Bound for final Showdown!

This weekend will mark the final two nights of the second annual Wild West Showdown, and with nineteen cars set to head down the Highway to the Albany Speedway Club, it is sure to be a gun slingin’ battle right to the end!!
Coming into the final two shows it is Jamie Oldfield (Oldfield Racing) and Brent Vosbergen (Team Vosbergen Racing – TVR) who are tied on points after two nights, but with Oldfield not making the journey, it puts Vosbergen in prime position to take out the overall series.
Warren Oldfield (Oldfield Racing) is just ten points behind Vosbergen, a mere heat race win, so he will be looking to close that gap and show everyone who is boss come the end of Saturday night, while Joe Chalmers (Team BCM Motorsport:) and Brad Blake have also strung together two decent nights so far to be sitting in the top five, but neither will be content to settle for those results!
Jay Cardy (Cardy Racing Components), Michael Holmes (Michael Holmes Racing), Kye Blight (Kye Blight Racing) and Brad Smith (Brad Smith Devil Motorsports 6T) (who grabbed a podium in the opening show) are also currently in the top ten and ready to rumble this weekend, keen to move themselves up the overall standings, while Matt Nylander (Nylander Motorsport) and Paul Stubber
(Bar31) will be looking to make their presence felt.
A number of drivers are again making the huge journey to be part of the event, including Kodee Brown (McCorry Brown Racing Team), David Boyes (Boyes Motorsport), South Aussie Mat Crimmins (Crimmins Racing) and Damon Hudson (Hudson Racing Team), while Esperance locals Greg Horan, Sean Barrett (Beaumont Motorsports) and Ben Strautins (BAS Racing) will enjoy the relatively shorter trip this weekend.
Brad Ludlow (Ludlow Racing) is also slated to make his first start for the season aboard the #55 machine, while local Rob Knox will make his debut in the #81 machine this weekend against the Pro Dirt Series regulars.
So, who will get the glory and the gold, showing the Wild West that they are the sheriff in town? Make sure you are at Albany Speedway tonight and tomorrow night to find out!!
