The Late Model 2012/13 Hoosier Racing Tire Pro Dirt Series kicked off its season with a Launch Night held Saturday 6th October 2012 at Galleria Toyota in Morley.
The positive atmosphere at Galleria Toyota Morley had everyone pumped, and feeling extremely confident that the 2012/13 season will be the most successful for Late Models in Australia thus far.
Late Model Racing Australia (LMRA) was proud to announce its partnership with Hoosier Racing Tire as the naming rights sponsor for the 2012/13 Pro Dirt Series. Hoosier has always supported the Late Model division in Western Australia and was happy to take on the rights to the Pro Dirt Series.
The opening round of the 2012/2013 Hoosier Racing Tire Pro Dirt series is this Saturday October 13 at Ellenbrook Speedway. This prestigious event is also the Ray Tulk Memorial race.
The 2012/13 season has been eagerly anticipated, and after the long winter break, drivers have now set their sights on the massive race meetings ahead, and their pursuit of the Hoosier Racing Tire Pro Dirt Series.
An impressive 21 entries has been received for Round 1.
Two drivers who are really looking forward to the season opener are Jamie and Warren Oldfield. The Current Pro Dirt Series Champion Jamie Oldfield won the 2011 Ray Tulk Memorial, while Warren Oldfield won the 2010 event, so the brothers are hoping they can continue to kick off the new season by grabbing victory in the Ray Tulk Memorial for the third time in a row.
With such a big field of high quality drivers that include Craig Vosbergen, Brad Blake, Ryan Halliday, and the Ludlow family, race fans are guaranteed to see plenty of V8 Late Model action on the track.
Following the success of the Winter Development Series there are a few new names in the Late Model ranks to shake things up a bit, including Peter McPherson, Paul Joss, Craig Greentree, Dean King, and Mick Clune.
The Ray Tulk Memorial will be hotly contested with any number of racers capable of waving the chequered flag aloft at the end.
So if you’re after the best sedan action you could see this weekend, make sure you’re at Ellenbrook Speedway Saturday for fast, exciting racing, that will have you on the edge of your seat.
